How should this type of hair be treated so that is doesn’t become worse?

One of the most unpleasant problems with hair is when the scalp and roots get oily and the ends dry. Then you can hardly define what type of hair you have and how to treat it- with products for oily or for dry hair.

If you pick shampoos and balsams which will remove the oiliness that will only dry the ends more, because they contain essential oils and other moisturizers. If you pick products for dry hair, your scalp will produce more oil to protect itself from drying out.

Experts explain that the scalp is connected to the face. Thus, if your skin is oily then your roots will also be oily. The ends of your hair, however, are influenced by the weather, heat treatment and cosmetic products.

This is what you should do to neutralize the problem:

1. Use a “softer” shampoo.

You should look at the ingredients in the product and pick one which hasn’t a lot of aggressive compounds. On the “softer” shampoos it usually is written that they can be used more often.
